"Learn from the mistakes of others, not from yours. Because by the time you learn it, you are already dead…." -anonymous

It might be beneficial to learn from others' mistakes to obtain information and experience without having to deal with the harmful effects of making the same mistakes oneself. It enables us to learn from the wisdom and experiences of others while preventing us from making the same mistakes they did.

Learning from others' errors has several advantages. First, it can help us avoid wasting time, money, and resources that we might otherwise spend by making the same errors ourselves. Second, it can aid us in avoiding the harmful effects that mistakes might have, such as harm, financial loss, or reputational damage. Third, it can give us insightful information that we can use in other aspects of our lives, empowering us to learn more and be better prepared to make wise judgments.

It's crucial to remember that learning from our mistakes can also be advantageous because it gives us first-hand knowledge and a better comprehension of the effects of our actions. The best way to learn is ultimately to combine both methods—learning from the mistakes of others and our own—to have a thorough and all-encompassing grasp of the world around us. [1]

PCOL CARLITO UDANI GRIJALDO, CITY DIRECTOR, OCPO, and staff, together with the six station commanders of Olongapo City police stations, had a conference that discussed and addressed the problems encountered during the past weeks of operation in the city with different police stations, different units and if there were problems, how did they handle it to provide sustained peace and order in the area. The conference is the presentation of other offices and units of the Philippine National Police in the city. They presented their issues and concerns about the operations conducted by the said unit and station, providing solutions to problems and lessons learned or best practices encountered during the process. It is a conference to monitor the performance of every station and unit to evaluate the overall performance of the police officer. Monitoring of the strict implementation of police operations, such as visibility patrols, the conduct of checkpoints, OPLANs SITA, KAPKAP, BAKAL, and the establishment of public assistance centers, reduction, and deterrence of crime.

"You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man's initiative and independence." [2] Because it is a summary of the operations of the police officers for one week, the City Director of the Olongapo City Police Office as a whole conducted a comprehensive check of the performance of each station and unit. This is a direct result of the leadership that they have demonstrated in the city. The ratings were above average, and the team has received favorable comments. The administration of the station commanders, chiefs, deputies, personnel, non-commissioned and commissioned officers, non-uniformed personnel, and especially the City Director, who is truly devoted to serving the organization and the community, made it possible for all of this to happen.
