Day of National Remembrance For the Heroic Sacrifice of SAF 44. Observed by Olongapo City Police Office, led by PCOL CARLITO UDANI GRIJALDO, City Director with SAF troopers.
The Gallant SAF 44 Commemoration is an event that is held annually in memory of the 44 members of the Philippine National Police's Special Action Force (SAF) who died in the Mamasapano in January 2015. They sacrificed their lives so that the people of the Philippines, particularly the community, might continue to live without the constant threat of being slain by Marwan's terror.
